June 6, 2019 was the 75 Anniversary of the landings at French beaches known as D-Day. We have new books on Operation Neptune, Operation Overlord and the "secret army" of General Patton.

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing with the Pioneer Heritage Library Summer Library Program

“A Universe of Stories”

The Summer Library Program runs from June 4 through July 24th and will feature reading logs, programs, prizes, storytime, crafts and other events.  Reading logs will be available for children from preschool to sixth grade.  As children complete the logs they will win prizes and be eligible for grand prize drawings.  Since the library received a grant from Dollar General Stores for $600.00 to purchase S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) supplies, there will be a lot of great things to do at the library this summer.  We will also have programs on insects, astronauts, drones, stars, planets and more.
