Interlibrary Loan

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

Libraries borrow books and other materials from each other using the SILO interlibrary loan system. Requests are handled electronically, which means you can get the materials you need much more quickly.
The Library's policy and procedures on Inter-library Loan (ILL) include:

  • requests can be made in person, over the phone or by e-mail

  • there is no fee for this service, but ILL requests should not exceed three per month

  •  materials can be kept for three weeks

  • we will only hold the requested book for 5 days, before returning it; patrons who abuse this or other policies may be restricted from borrowing ILLs.
